Talking About Israel in 2021
The current violence in Israel and Gaza this month has inspired a wave of misled advocacy among previously apathetic Americans. Largely drawn from oversimplified infographics and comedy pieces, this misinformation has life or death consequences for Jews across the diaspora who have faced violence and silence. Gabby Posner of Shabbat Shpiels invites her good friend and near Israel expert Sarah Simon to discuss the Jewish connection to the land of Israel, the quest for peace, and antisemitic tropes evoked in anti-Israel advocacy today. This episode seeks to amplify the Jewish voices that have been diluted and silenced as of the past two weeks.
