![]() I wanted to introduce myself to all you lovely people. My name is Saskia Feldman, I am a rising second year student at UVa. I am excited to begin the year as a First-Year Engagement Intern with Hillel. This means I get to meet all the lovely first-years over coffee and learn more about what they are interested in, as well as how to help connect first-years to opportunities at UVa that match those interests! Yay for coffee, bagels and getting to meet people! I’m hoping to double major in Economics and Global Development, which is a selective major so keep your fingers crossed I actually get into that major! The reason why I spell things with random ‘u’s and ’s’s is because I am from across the pond: Mill Hill, London, England. Ironically named after a Mill on a hill… there’s my funny story! At UVa I am involved in various other organisations around grounds. I help run ‘Chicken Soup for the Wahoo soul’, a group of us hand deliver fresh homemade chicken soup to first year dorms on a Monday night! I also have a part time job, working in Cavalier Computers in the university bookstore (so yes I can fix your mac). I volunteer at the local synagogue, Congregation Beth Israel, downtown here in Charlottesville and helped organise the TomTom Festival. Also I am a member of the sorority AXO here on grounds. (I’m happy to answer any Greek life questions you might have!) I have spent the summer working for UVa's Office of Admissions giving tours to prospective parents and students, so I know some weird facts about UVA that I would be very happy to share! Don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions about Jewish life or UVa in general. I can’t wait to welcome first years to this special place! Lots of love, Saskia (if you can’t pronounce that I go by Sas or ‘The British Girl’) Comments are closed.
